Ready-to-import CSV files for common checklist use cases. Each template below lists its purpose — what it's actually for — and its features — how it uses List Log's groups, roles, and item types to get there. Download any template and import it directly into List Log to get started immediately.
Importing a template requires full access. You can customise any template after importing — add, remove, or reorder groups and items to fit your specific needs, and assign it to a Collection to keep your library organized.
How to import a template
- Download the CSV file to your iPhone (tap the download button below, then save to Files).
- Open List Log and tap the + icon on the Checklists screen.
- Tap Import Checklist from the menu.
- Navigate to the saved CSV file and select it.
- List Log validates the file and creates the checklist if everything is correct.
Lawn & Garden
Purpose
Track annual (or every-100-hour) maintenance on a John Deere X300 Series lawn tractor, so you always know exactly what was done, when, and with which parts.
Features
- Reference group links to the online operator's manual and a maintenance how-to video — always on hand during the run
- Reference URLs to the exact parts needed (home maintenance kit, mower blade, grease) from the John Deere Store
- Tools & Supplies checklist to confirm you're set up before starting
- 20 optional Checkbox service tasks — oil, filters, spark plugs, blades, deck, belts, tire pressure, lubrication points — so you only check off what applies
- Required Engine Hours and Service Date, plus optional notes, for a permanent record of every service
Purpose
Record each fertilizer application with the specifics that matter for lawn care — not just "done," but what was applied, at what rate, and under what conditions.
Features
- PPE group confirms gloves, glasses, and chemical respirator before application
- Weather group logs temperature and sky condition (List of Values) at time of application
- Application group captures the fertilizer's N-P-K rating, application type (Broadcast / Drop / Sprayer / Hand), application rate, start and end Date & Time, total pounds applied, and the area treated
Purpose
Keep a repeatable record of herbicide applications — which product, where, and under what conditions — useful for tracking reapplication intervals.
Features
- PPE group confirms gloves, glasses, and chemical respirator before application
- Weather group logs temperature and sky condition (List of Values) at time of application
- Application group uses a List of Values to pick the exact herbicide product (with active ingredient noted), plus application rate (oz/gallon), start and end Date & Time, total gallons applied, and area treated
Workplace Safety
Purpose
A repeatable workplace safety walk that produces a dated, exportable record for each inspection — the actual readings and photos taken, not just a pass/fail checkbox.
Features
- Reference URLs to the workplace safety policy and equipment maintenance schedule, shown on every run
- PPE and Equipment Checks sections use Yes/No/N/A for pass/fail/not-applicable results
- Environmental Readings section captures Number values for temperature, noise, and lighting, plus a Date & Time stamp
- Photo Documentation group for the work area and any hazard found, plus a Reference PDF for the PPE inspection reference sheet
- Overall Assessment uses List of Values for a condition rating and Long Text for inspector comments
Boating
Purpose
Give you — and whoever you leave it with — a complete picture of the boat and the trip before you leave the dock, designed to be exported as a PDF and sent to an emergency contact.
Features
- Vessel Information is captured once as Reference items (year/make/model, vessel name, registration number, EPIRB ID, MMSI #, engine info, and a boat photo) and appears on every run without re-entering it
- Safety Checklist confirms PFDs, VHF radio, fire extinguisher, flares, and fuel before departure
- Trip Details captures start and estimated end Date & Time, destination, persons on board (count and names), and departure/arrival locations
- Export the completed run as a PDF and share it with someone ashore before you leave
Purpose
A quick, repeatable pre-departure check confirming required safety equipment and gear are aboard and boat systems are working before every trip.
Features
- Safety Equipment group checks PFDs, fire extinguishers, flares, horn/whistle, throwable device, EPIRB, and registration
- Boat Gear group confirms dock lines, fenders, anchor, spare anchor, and seat cushions are aboard
- Boat Checks group verifies VHF radio, oil and fuel levels, GPS chartplotter, and water pump operation
- Nearly all Checkbox / Yes-No-N/A items, built for a fast run-through before leaving the dock
Purpose
Track scheduled maintenance on a boat engine at whatever service interval you follow, alongside a fixed reference list of the exact parts and supplies the engine takes.
Features
- Maintenance Details captures date, who performed the work, engine hours, and a Yes/No/N/A result for each task (oil, filters, plugs, thermostat, water pump, propeller, anodes, and more), plus notes
- Maintenance Supplies is a Reference group listing the exact oil grade, filter, spark plug, thermostat, and anode part numbers for this engine — always visible during the run so you don't have to look them up
Purpose
A lightweight log for each individual boat trip — departure and arrival times, engine hours, who was aboard, and any issues observed.
Features
- Departure and arrival Date & Time
- Engine hours before and after the trip, for tracking usage between services
- Participant names and count, a trip description, and an optional flag for observed issues
Starter
Purpose
Not a checklist to use as-is — a reference file for building your own templates in a spreadsheet editor before importing.
Features
- One example of every item type List Log supports: Checkbox, Yes/No/N/A, Number, Short Text, Long Text, Date, Date & Time, URL, Photo, PDF, and List of Values
- A second URL example using the Reference role, showing how the Reference URL and Reference URL Label columns are populated
- Matches the exact 11-column format produced by the app's own Export Starter Template feature and required for CSV import
Use this only as a reference when designing your own template in a CSV editor such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers — it isn't meant to be imported and run as-is.
